Hi, my husband has been thinking of learning kayaking and I think this will be a good read for him. I really like your photos featuring great time kayaking in nature which I find super relaxing. I might give it a go together with my husband. Thanks for your inspiring post!
I’m sure you and your husband will build some very happy memories when you begin your kayaking adventures. It is indeed a relaxing way to enjoy nature.
Ah, yes, kayaking is indeed a great sport. I lived for 20 years on my homestead 20 feet from the water. My only neighbor had a kayak, but I had a skiff powered with an outboard and a little rowing dinghy. Wish I’d learned to kayak while there! I’ve traveled in one more than once, but never gone out paddling by myself. Actually, since I had the rowboat, there was no need. Nice, though, to have a lighter boat, as it isn’t so hard to deal with when leaving or returning.
That sounds like an ideal life, so close to the water. It’s true that kayaks are a bit lighter and easier to travel with. However, those canoes and rowboats have their place, too.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
